ΑSIT – Adequate Support measures and Improved capacities in countering Trafficking in Human Beings, a European initiative co-funded by the ISF fund that addresses the evolving threats of human trafficking in the digital age. ASIT provides law enforcement, the judiciary, NGOs and first responders with the tools and knowledge to recognise, investigate and dismantle new forms of trafficking networks. Promoting digital innovation, capacity building and cross-sectoral collaboration, ASIT focuses on:
- Strengthening multi-evidence investigations of human trafficking;
- Raising awareness of evolving trafficking risks and patterns;
- Promoting international partnerships and sharing ;
- Countering online trafficking channels with ICT tools;
Through scenario-based training, operational exchanges, civic engagement and technological innovation, ASIT is promoting a stronger and more coordinated European response to human trafficking
