ALUNA Final Conference

On the 29th of May 2025, VANGUARD participated in the ALUNA Final Conference held on May 28-29, 2025, in Madrid, Spain and Online.

ALUNA is an ISF project with a trifold approach centred on three key pillars: Prevention, Investigation, and Victim Assistance, with the main objective of combating child sexual abuse, child sexual exploitation, and providing assistance to the victims of these crimes. More than 95 participants from 41 countries have joined the final conference both online and onsite, participating in two powerful days of reflection and action on child-focused and victim-centred responses to child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE).

VANGUARD, represented by its Coordinator, the M4D group of the MKLab of the Information Technologies Institute (ITI) at the  Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH),  presented the project’s main objectives, key planned outcomes, and main achievements thus far, with particular focus on its main goals towards the provision of improved intelligence picture, delivery of advanced and trustworthy suite of tools, realisation of innovative training activities, and raising awareness, promoting also the upcoming first VANGUARD Workshop on 17 June 2025.
