TheARIEN Project supports the 2021–2025 EU Drugs Action Plan by using AI to build a real-time intelligence framework for monitoring drug trafficking. The EU funded project combines co-creation, legal and ethical compliance, and modular AI tools to boost law enforcement’s ability to track online drug markets, detect hotspots via social media, and assess emerging threats. ARIEN also aims to promote effective international cooperation among relevant EU and non-EU law enforcement agencies, Customs, Border Guards Authorities, and policymakers, using AI techniques to strengthen investigative activities against criminal groups.
