First VANGUARD Workshop: From Research to Policy – Insights from the Societal-Oriented Research on Human Trafficking under the EU-funded VANGUARD Project, 17 June 2025
On behalf of the VANGUARD Horizon Europe project, we would like to draw your attention to our first workshop: “From Research to Policy – Insights from the Societal-Oriented Research on Human Trafficking under the EU-funded VANGUARD Project”
The aim of this workshop is to bring together experts in the field to:
- Present the desktop and empirical research results and the good practices, as emerged from the research conducted under the project activities;
- Discuss emerging policies and develop initial recommendations; and
- Gather feedback, inputs, and recommendations, exploring in parallel research gaps and discussing future initiatives.
The outcomes will contribute to enhancing the European Union’s understanding of and fight against the human trafficking phenomenon, by raising awareness and preventing further future exploitation.
The workshop will take place on June 17, 2025, both on site, at KU Leuven’s premises (KU Leuven University, Leuven, Belgium, CiTiP BBB, Sint-Michielsstraat 6, 3000 Leuven, MTC-building, 2nd floor, room 02.07) and online. It will last for 3 hours (from 14:00-17:00 CEST), including one additional hour for registration and light lunch (13:00-14:00 CEST).

Since the on site places are limited, priority will be given according to the time of registration.
