ERADICATING II – Final Hybrid International Conference: “#SeeingTheUnseen: Advancing collaboration against labour exploitation and human trafficking in Europe
On December 5, 2025, VANGUARD participated in the ERADICATING II hybrid international conference titled “#SeeingTheUnseen: Advancing collaboration against labour exploitation and human trafficking in Europe”, which attracted more than 110 participants from across Europe, stemming from policymakers, frontline professionals, researchers, to civil society organisations dedicated to boosting the effectiveness of united efforts to combat labour exploitation and human trafficking.
VANGUARD, represented by its Coordinator, the M4D group of the MKLab of the Information Technologies Institute (ITI) at the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH), presented the project’s main objectives, key planned outcomes, and main achievements to date. Particular focus was placed on the role of technology in strengthening anti-trafficking responses, with a presentation of AI-based tools and solutions developed by the VANGUARD project, highlighting how AI can be effectively leveraged to support law enforcement efforts in combating human trafficking.
