The 5th consortium meeting of the VANGUARD project was held on March 5-6, 2026, in Iasi, Romania, and was hosted by the Romanian Border Police (RBP).
During this meeting, relevant updates were shared on the progress of key activities completed during M21-M28 of the project, with an emphasis on the demonstration of the second version of the AI-driven tools and their integration into the VANGUARD ToolSuite, the Awareness Raising Campaign targeting youth, young adults and professionals working with them, and the VANGUARD THB Knowledge Sharing and Collaboration Platform. In parallel, the meeting featured productive discussions among participants, with particular attention to the VANGUARD Policy Roundtables, the forthcoming Pilots and Training Activities, and the strategy for the long-term sustainability and exploitation of the VANGUARD solutions.
The meeting concluded with a detailed plan to be implemented over the coming months and up to the next consortium meeting.
